Free flight on Porto Santo is currently restricted.

Free flight in Porto Santo island is possible through Aeroclube da Madeira and a direct and permanent coordination with Air Traffic Control (ATC) of Porto Santo airport.

You must guarantee a telephone number available to answer ATC calls at all time.
The tower controllers might need everyone to land on a short notice.

The flight is local (Portela or Pico das Flores). XC flights must be explícitly authorized by the control tower.
